For a full overview of the Collaborators feature, please see: Share access to your PocketSmith account with Collaborators.
Tip
If the person being invited to manage the account wishes to use PocketSmith solely for the purpose of shared access, they can create a free account, without the need to add any bank accounts or data.
For further details, see Creating a Free Account for Collaborators
Note
It's not currently possible for a Collaborator to manage another user's account in the mobile app. They will need to use the web app in order to use this feature.
Collaborators accepting the invitation and managing accounts
- User B can click on the link in the email to accept your invitation.
They will need a PocketSmith account to accept the invitation. There will be another link ("create one here") in the email where they can set up a PocketSmith account if they do not already have one:
- After clicking the link in the email, User B will be prompted to sign into their PocketSmith account.
Once signed in, they can click Accept Invitation to accept the Collaborator invitation.
- User B will now have access to your account.
If they are not setting up anything in their account, they can access it from the Welcome page.
Otherwise, the Shared accounts options can be accessed from their Profile menu, as shown below:
- When User B manages your account, the profile menu will display the account they are managing.
They can return to their own account by selecting 'Return to your account' at the top of the menu:
Note
The link within the invitation email will expire after 5 days.
Creating a free account for Collaborators
If you have been invited to manage a PocketSmith account and only need a PocketSmith account for shared access, you can create a free account with no need to add any bank accounts or data.
If you don't set anything else up in your free account, any users you have been invited to manage (and have accepted) will appear on the Welcome page:

Accessing a Collaborator account with 2FA enabled
If you are managing a Collaborator account that has 2FA enabled, your PocketSmith account (or the account you're using to access the collaborator’s PocketSmith account) will also need to have 2FA enabled in order for you to gain access. This is done as a security precaution.
For details on enabling 2FA for an account, see: Two-factor authentication (2FA) on your PocketSmith account
