Feeds are a convenient way to automatically import your transactions and balances into your linked accounts in PocketSmith ⚡️
Adding a new feed
You can add new feeds at any time, as long as they are within your plan limits.
- Go to Manage > Feeds
- Click New feed
- Type your bank name in the search field and click SEARCH, or select one of the popular bank icons
- Hover over the bank name and click + ADD FEED. If you've previously added a feed to this bank, you will be asked to enter a Nickname. This is used to help you distinguish between the different online banking login details at the same bank.
Linking your feed accounts to PocketSmith
Once your feed has been added to PocketSmith, you're ready to link your feed accounts to PocketSmith and have your transactions start flowing.
To complete this, please follow one of the below guides:
- If you're starting from scratch, follow the guide for linking your feed accounts to brand new accounts.
- If you've already got existing accounts in PocketSmith, follow the guide for linking feed accounts to existing accounts.
Adding more than one set of credentials for an existing feed
PocketSmith allows you to add multiple credentials for one bank, which means you can connect your partner's accounts at the same bank or any other accounts you have at the same bank with different logins.
The process for adding a second set of credentials varies depending on the data provider for your feed:
- For any Yodlee or Salt Edge feeds (banks outside New Zealand) see: Adding more than one set of credentials to an existing feed
- For any Akahu feeds (New Zealand only) see: Adding more credentials to an Akahu feed
Auto-categorise transactions
When adding a new feed, the option to have Auto-categorise transactions is enabled by default. However, you can turn this off at any time.
For more details, please see: Auto-categorise transactions
