The Budget tab
The Budget tab allows you to view your budgets and how your actual figures are tracking against them. You can customise the budget page options to view different insights into your earnings and spending.

Accessing the Budget tab
Access the budget tab by tapping the Budget tab at the bottom of the app or by selecting Tap to see more from the Your favourite budgets widget.

Sections of the Budget tab
Budget date range selector
You can select the date range you want to view for your budgets. The timeframe you select here determines which data is shown in your Total budget summary. You can also choose to apply this date range to your individual category budgets - more on this below.

Total budget summary
The total budget summary shows your overall income and expense budgets for the selected budget date range, and how your actual earnings and spending compare to your budgeted amounts.

Individual category budgets
Scroll down to see how your individual budget categories are tracking.
If the Apply to all budgets option from the budget date range selector is enabled, all individual category budgets will reflect this chosen timeframe.
If the Apply to all budgets option is not enabled, the current budget period for each individual category will be shown.

If you use nested categories, you'll see the parent category in front of each of the sub-categories.

Select any of your individual budget categories to see all assigned transactions for that period. If you're viewing a subcategory, you'll see the parent category greyed out above the category name:

Trends
To see trends for a budget category, tap View trends when viewing the budget:

A trends graph will show, with a summary below for the selected budget period. To view the summary for a previous or future period, tap the corresponding column.

Tap Transactions to view the transactions that have contributed to the budget for the selected period:

To adjust the period reflected by the bar graph, or the number of budget events/periods viewed overall, tap FILTERS (iOS) or the filters icon (Android) and edit to suit:

Roll up options
There are three options for rolling up your sub-categories into the parent level: Inherit, On and Off.

Roll up option: Inherit
With the Inherit option selected, your per-category roll-up settings from the web app will be reflected here.
Roll up option: On
With roll-up selected to be On, all sub-categories will be rolled up into their parent category.

Roll up option: Off
With the roll-up option set to Off, all sub-categories will not be rolled up into their parent category. No budget will show next to the parent category level.

Favourite budgets widget
The roll-up settings from your Budget tab will be reflected in the Favourite budgets widget.
